The village of Childs Ercall Child's Ercall (/ɑːrkəl/ AR-kəl) is a civil parish in Shropshire,. It is located in a rural area between the small towns of Market Drayton and Newport: the civil parish had a total population of circa 1000.
The village has a well maintained recreation ground with a football pitch, a fantastic children's playground and a church that hosts a well supported Sunday school. It also boasts a variety of clubs and organisations, many of which operate from either the Childs Ercall Club or Jubilee Hall, the latter being managed by the Community Association. In addition, the village also enjoys an active Golf Society, Bowling and Table Tennis Club.
Childs Ercall is a village that attracts families who appreciate the surrounding countryside and yet wish to have the facilities of larger market towns close by, Childs Ercall with its village social life remains a favourite with those who are fortunate to live here.
